In my work as an interior designer and architect I have worked with Jeremy Kimchi on several special projects. In my opinion Jeremy is truly a wood artist. In his craft he combines art with  a high level of skill. He understands and “breathes” the wood in all of its kinds and forms.

It’s a pleasure to follow Jeremy’s process of creation: from the initial sketches marked out  by hand on graph paper, until the completed piece, standing like a jewel in its intended space.

Jeremy is attentive to the clients’ desires, yet at the same time he knows to give each piece his special touch.

I have had the pleasure of working with Jeremy Kimchi for many years in designing several pieces for my own home as well as for our synagogue in Chicago. Hall tables, side table, complete bedroom suite and dining room, as well as a free standing bar – each bringing unique beauty, creativity, dimension and functional art into many rooms of my home. For the synagogue we commissioned a very special torah ark into which Jeremy put all his heart and soul.

Jeremy is easy to work with, keeping focused on the balance of function and beauty, understanding what it is that you want for your home. His punctuality is notable, and the shipping is straight-forward and reasonable.

Guests always remark on the unique beauty of the furniture and the life it brings into the room.

“>Wood artist Jeremy Kimchi designed and built for our synagogue in Ma’aleh Adumim the ark and the twelve tribes of Israel wall hanging on either side of the ark. Jeremy sought to learn the make-up of our community and gained an understanding of its characteristics. With this knowledge he then proceeded to craft the ark with its unique art work which is so well suited.

The ark and the twelve tribes enhance our synagogue and add grandeur, as it is written: “This is my God, and I will glorify Him.”

I will say, too, that working with Jeremy was pleasant and good.

I am happy to recommend him, and I’m sure that all who work with Jeremy will enjoy both him and the fruits of his labor.

He has never failed us and has enthusiastically entered into the process of bringing the pieces into remarkable realization.

It is especially satisfying to include Jeremy in the design process itself, thus fully to benefit from his unique understanding of the wood and his mastery of expert carpentry techniques which together add expressive strengths and greatly extend creative possibilities. That makes the results so much more exciting than they might otherwise have been. Jeremy has made some of our most satisfyingly successful pieces of furniture.

“>Wood artist Jeremy Kimchi built an ark, bimah and chazan’s stand for the Central Synagogue of our moshav, Beit Gamliel. Everyone is deeply moved by the beauty, the fine craftsmanship and the overall composition, as well as by the fine choice of cherry and maple that Jeremy employed. One who gazes at these works is taken by the continuous flowing throughout – not at all like looking at regular synagogue furnishings.

We all feel a sense of gratitude and appreciation towards Jeremy for having added a dimension of grandeur and majesty to our synagogue.
